Starting this week, John Adams High School is launching our Spartans Show Up & Level Up Attendance Incentive Program to encourage students to come to school every day and attend every class. The program will begin with 9th grade students this week. Any 9th grader who attends every day and every class will receive a free hot breakfast on Tuesday as a weekly reward. Each week the program will move to another grade level — 10th grade next week, followed by 11th and 12th grade. Students who maintain perfect attendance for the entire month will also have the chance to win special Spartan prizes, including school swag, gift cards, and VIP breakfast passes. At John Adams High School, every day counts. Showing up, being on time, and being ready to learn helps our Spartans succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Join us in celebrating National World Languages Week from March 16–19 at John Adams High School! During this special week, students are invited to explore different languages and cultures from around the world. Visit the library’s International Book Display to discover books from many cultures and languages. Students who check out a book from the display will earn 5 S.H.I.E.L.D. Bucks while expanding their global knowledge. Come celebrate language, culture, and reading as we highlight the diversity of our Spartan community! 🌍📚

John Adams High School will celebrate International Spirit Week from March 16–19, 2026, a special event for students to explore cultures, languages, and traditions from around the world. Each day, students are encouraged to participate in fun themed activities. Students can wear a sports jersey to represent global sports, greet friends or staff in a different language, listen to music in another language, and wear the colors of their country’s flag or traditional cultural attire. This week is a great opportunity for students to celebrate diversity, learn about different cultures, and show pride in the many backgrounds that make up the John Adams High School community. Together, we will discover the world, one language at a time.

Spartan Shield Bucks Redemption Day – March 13

Students can redeem their Shield Bucks during lunch periods 3–8 in the cafeteria. You could win snacks, accessories, small items, or large prizes. Don't miss your chance to redeem your rewards! 🎟️🎉

Family Survey – Deadline March 20

Spartans, make sure your parents or guardians complete the Family Survey. Students whose families fill out the survey will receive a Golden Ticket worth 20 Shield Bucks. The deadline is March 20. After completing the survey, see Mr. Avery in the main office to redeem your Golden Ticket.
