Safety

The Student Safety Department is dedicated to the safety of the students and staff at John Adams High School. Within the pages of this section, you will find information regarding safety regulations, school rules, the NYC discipline code with possible consequences for misbehavior, and several important Chancellor's Regulations.

If you have any questions regarding information posted here please stop by the Safety Leader's office for more information.

Remember, safety is everyone's responsibility. The Safety Leader's and School Safety Agents work together to keep our school community safe. If you see something that is not right; find a Safety Leader, School Safety Agent, Assistant Principal, Teacher, or other adult and report it immediately.

Safety Protocol

John Adams High School belongs to us all – students, staff, and graduates alike. We are all John Adams. How you behave while here is a reflection on you and John Adams. We hope you will take PRIDE in our environment. Listed throughout this page are guidelines for how students should conduct themselves in and around the school.

Visitor Policy

Safety and security for our students and staff is always a priority at John Adams High School.  It is for this reason that the following policy will be enforced:  All visitors must make an appointment with the person they wish to see prior to entering the building. If a visitor happens to come by without an appointment, John Adams Staff will do its best to accommodate them but cannot guarantee a meeting.

Appointments for the Guidance Department can be made by emailing the guidance counselors directory OR by calling Ms. Arteca at 718-322-0531.
