Attendance

ATTENDANCE POLICY

Daily attendance is required of all students for success in class work and necessary for passing grades. Absentee students must submit an absence note to the attendance office (Room 104) upon return to school, which has been signed by a parent/ guardian or doctor. It is the responsibility of the student to reach out to teachers and/or guidance counselors to obtain homework assignments and missed classwork. Parents and guardians must make every effort to contact Guidance Counselors and teachers to obtain homework assignments when their children are out from school for an extended period of time. Students should obtain telephone numbers of classmates whom they may contact for homework assignments when they are absent. When students are in the building, they are expected to attend all classes unless they have a scheduled meeting with a counselor or the clinic.

LATENESS

Students have three minutes to travel from one class to another. Be prompt! Excessive lateness will prevent students from full participation in subject classes and may result in lower grades or failure.

REPORT AN ABSENCE

To report an absence please fill out the ABSENT FORM Be sure to include your full name and OSIS# as well as the date(s) you will be out of school. Students should also email their teachers directly to try and receive the missed work.

FACE TO FACE LETTER

Please email your request to [email protected] Make sure to include your child's name and OSIS #

SUBMIT AN ABSENCE NOTE/MEDICAL EXCUSE FROM SCHOOL

Absence notes or medical excuses from school can BE SENT by email to [email protected] Be sure to include your child's full name and OSIS number in the body of the email.

CHANGE OF ADDRESS

Requests for change of address are done through OPEROO. Please email [email protected] to be sent the OPEROO link. You will be asked to upload Proof of Address through the OPEROO link.

CHANGE OF GUARDIAN

Change of Guardian must be done in person in the Attendance Office

CHANGE OF PHONE NUMBER/UPDATE BLUE CARD

Emergency Blue Cards are updated through OPEROO. Please email [email protected] to receive the OPEROO link.
